 Michael Rothkopf, MD FACP, FACN
is a caring, compassionate physician with outstanding credentials. He has been a member of the faculties of two major medical schools and has contributed to many scientific publications, including 4 textbooks. He holds a patent on the use of growth hormone to augment nutritional repletion.
Dr. Rothkopf graduated from Syracuse University and the Eastern Virginia Medical School. He did his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. He then attended a fellowship in Nutrition and Metabolism at The Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center in New York. He is among a select number of physicians that is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Nutrition. He has been a member of the medical staff at St. Barnabas Medical Center for more than 20 years.
Dr. Rothkopf combines his experience in Internal Medicine, Nutrition and Metabolism on behalf of his patients. He regularly consults on critically ill, hospitalized patients who require nutritional support. His outpatient practice focuses on the management of metabolic disorders such as obesity, diabetes, lipid disturbances and malnutrition.

 Jason Buchwald, MD, CNS is a knowledgeable, friendly physician who is very active in the medical community. Triple board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, the American College of Nutrition, and the American Board of Physician Nutrition Specialists, Dr. Buchwald has published multiple articles in the Journal of the American College of Nutrition, and is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine. Dr. Buchwald is very much a patient advocate and combines an extensive knowledge base with an approachable, friendly demeanor.
Dr. Buchwald graduated Union College in Schenectady, NY and subsequently attended New York Medical College. During his clinical years at Saint Vincent's Hospital in NYC, he attained numerous distinctions, including the Ciba-Geigy Award for Outstanding Community Service as well as the prestigious Medical Society of the State of New York Community Service Award.
Dr. Buchwald subsequently completed his Internal Medicine residency in Boston, at Tufts University's New England Medical Center, which has one of the longest running obesity and weight loss centers in the US. Along with General Internal Medicine, Dr. Buchwald also specializes in weight loss, obesity management including pre- and post gastric bypass care, osteoporosis, preventative cardiac medicine, lipid disorders, diabetes, and insulin resistance. Preventative medicine and physical fitness are areas of particular interest, as exemplified by Dr. Buchwald's own participation in the NYC Marathon. Dr. Buchwald is a physician on staff at Saint Barnabas Medical Center, Saint Mary's Hospital, and Jersey City Medical Center.
